Makeup look of the day!

Hey guys this was my makeup look for work yesterday! Nice glowy skin, natural lashes, liquid liner and a fuschia or hot pink lip color. Here is what I used.

Studio Sculpt foundation
Mineralize powder in Dark
mineralize skinfinish in Cheeky bronze
Sweetness Beauty powder blush
Painterly paint pot
soba e/s all over the eye
Zoomlash mascara
Penultimate liquid liner
Magenta lipliner
and Girl about town lipstick!

Beauty Trend Tip!

Hey guys so I don't know if you all have been keeping up with the latest trend in Makeup. Right now dark lips are HOTTT!!! Black lipstick and gloss is in right now. If you don't do black you can always do a deep purple,blackberry or wine color on the lips. All of these will work well. Well here is your tip for the week! If you try it out send me photos!

Halloween makeovers!!!

Hey so I had a couple of makeovers for Halloween!!! The first one was a playboy school girl inspired. So we did some really pretty pinks and the other was sasha fierce inspired! Comment, rate, I would love any feedback.

Recent Before/Afters!

Hey guys so here are a couple of before and after photos!! The Purple makeup look is for Model Deziree, she was going to a Casting! The second one is for an opera singer that was performing in a musical on stage in a theatre. This type of makeup is a litte more dramatic because you want the person sitting way in the back to be able to see the makeup. Enjoy!!

What have I been up to??

Hello everyone, I have been working on a lot of different things lately. I want to make the Diary of a makeup artist experience better for you all and allow you to communicate more with me. So I will be launching a new website very very soon. It will be more interactive and you will be able to watch all of my videos there and I will be adding some fun features to the site. I also have a special feature that you guys are going to love. So keep a look out for the launch of the website it will be in October. The Vampire Diaries!!

Hey everyone, I recently worked on set of The Vampire Diaries webisodes. There will be The Vampire Diaries tv show airing on the CW in september and webisodes will air sometime after the show. The webisodes are created to tell you a little more about the characters. I was hired to do Special effects makeup. I worked with and awesome Makeup artist by the name of Denise Tunnell, you can google here to find out more info. We had a great time and I was able to do some blood work which is always fun. Wedding Makeover

Hello everyone, a few days ago I did a makeover for a wedding. My client wanted a soft evening look. So I went with soft smokey eyes and an evening lipcolor. She is wearing painterly paint pot, her hightlight color is rice paper e/s her crease color is soba and carbon on her lids. I lightly contoured her face with a darker color foundation and set it with Mineralize skinfinish natural powder in Medium deep. I chose blush baby blush to add a soft flush to her cheeks. On her lips I used chestnut lipliner and nightmoth lipliner just on the outer corners of her mouth. then here lips were filled in with 1N lipstick from the N collection

Transparent finishing powder, Line filler and Refined zone Review!

Prep+Prime Line Filler and Prep+Prime Refined Zone. Prep+prime line filler is a cream that gives a matte finish and blurs the appearance of fine lines.This should be applied as a last step after you have applied all of your makeup. I recommend using a very dense brush to apply this product, such as a mac #242 or #252 brush. Prep+Prime Refined zone is a light weight oil-free soy based emulsion that helps to minimize pores and control excess oil and shine. As soon as you apply it you can see the matte finish immediately. It is great for oily skintones as well as combination or dry skins that just have an oily t-zone. Cost for line filler $19.50 and refined zone is also 19.50.

Prep+Prime Transparent Finishing Powder is a light wieight invisble powder used to set makeup. This powder is great for all skintones because it has no pigment in it. It's main ingredient is corn starch,which makes this powder super fine and silky.Cost is $21

I am loving the weather, I will be back home in a couple of days and will be back to business as usual. I have a lot of new goodies to share with you all. Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! I am posting a couple of photos of a makeover I did. My client was going out for a night on the town and wanted something fun and playful. So I used the too dolly quad on her eyes and added the kitty power glitter eyeliner on top of the eyeshadow to add some sparkle. On her lips I used dervish lip liner and underage lipglass.

My Skincare Regimen

My latest video features products that I use to take care of my skin. I used burts bees Soap bark and chamomile deep cleansing cream which has a cooling sensation, Burts bees peach and willow bark deep pore scrub, to hydrate my skin I use Aveeno Intense relief overnight cream. These products cost about $8.

Mac Volcanic ash, exfoliates the skin and has real volcanic ash in it which was used to cure skin diseases years ago. BB Seaweed clay mask by lush, this has real seaweed bits in it as well as Kaolin clay to purify the skin. Ayesha mask has clay, asparagus and kiwi in it and leaves the skin looking radiant, relaxed and refreshed. The lush facial masks cost about $7.50 a piece and the volcanic ash is $19.50 but was limited so it may be diffucult to find.

Angels on Bare skin facial cleanser by Lush. This cleanser has crushed almonds and lavendar in it and leaves the skin feeling soft. This product will un you about $13.

J'ADORE MAGAZINE SHOOT!!

Hey Guys, this past weekend. I worked with another Makeup Artist Tierra Burrell on a shoot for J'adore Magazine. It went really well, I have some photos that I took during the shoot and I am posting them so everyone can see. The actual magazine should be out in a couple of months. The shoot has great models their including Dawn M, Esther Baxter, Glorida Velez, Leiling from flavor of love and the glenn twins to name a few. The models were shot by D Blanks photography. He is an awesome photog here in Atlanta ga. The entire Staff of the magazine was very nice to work with. Everyone was polite and easy to work with. Tierra is a great artist to work with.
